The ordeal to reunify North and South Korea has been a global issue for decades, but the possibility of it becoming a reality is mostly recent. There are, of course, a number of concerns with reunification, the greatest of which is unified policies for an anticipated ruling government. Unfortunately for both of these countries, the reunification is a global issue because of its affects and possible ramifications that would be felt internationally. However, there are many factors that support reunification and one such factor is the reunification of family members. Overall, perhaps an open-door policy across the razor wire that runs between the countries would be the best step and not unification as there are social, economic, and foreign policy problems that appear too overwhelming to overcome.
