This paper will discuss the post World War II society, as seen through the eyes of Elie Wiesel in the events and aftermath of the Great War in his book Night. By analyzing these themes within the tale, we can see how this book could not have been written in any other period due to the way that the war was fought on such a massive scale. By analyzing the points in this argument, we can see how the Holocaust and the consequences of the battles reveal the nature of Wiesel in is approach to the Second World War. 2 pgs.
