In the three stories presented: "Good Country People", "Hills Like White Elephants", and "The Storm", there's a clear parallel that exists. In each even that occurs as the main plot of each story, we are presented with a question that in most cases would probably be handled the same way even in today's age. Each story presents a struggle, a choice to be made, a path to take for characters that wouldn't be aren't so unlike those paths taken today.
