The purpose of this paper is to present a discussion of how sensorial prepares the child for arithmetic in Montessori. An examination of how these sensorial activities assist the child for arithmetic studies in a Montessori setting is discussed. As well a brief discussion of sensorial activities and how they are used in the Montessori setting are presented.
