Acid Rain: An Analysis of Effects and Industry Costs in the U.S. and Canada

The author notes that acid rain is created through the reaction of air pollutants such as sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides with water in the air, which forms strong acids such as sulfuric and nitric acid.
