This paper will seek to understand how Clovis, the king of the Franks, was able to subdue the Germanic tribes, making it possible to become converted to the Christian faith. By becoming an agent for the Church of Rome in central Europe, we can see how Clovis used militaristic, governmental, economic, and cultural means to transform the Frankish kingdom.
