This paper will critically assess the film Killing Us Softly 3: Advertising’s Images of Women and the Song “Kim” by Eminem. By understanding issues of femininity in today's media landscape, we can see how Killbourne uses Ads to reveal the high expectations women want of themselves in the models used in the Ads. In this light, we can see how she deconstructs negative self images in women, and how Eminem's song "Kim" reinforces hate for women.
