This paper will compare the famous classical characters Achilles, Aeneas, and Dante and trace the evolution of epic heroes in each of the classical writings they are created in. By understanding how they all share this common theme of the epic hero, we can show how they are connected by a similar destiny through the theme of humility, which is the strongest aspect of these men above lesser men.
