This paper will explore the theme of an outsider in “Fifth Busines”s by Robertson Davies and “The Apprenticeship Of Duddy Kravitz” by Mardecai Richler. We will compare and contrasting the two works, and explore how they reflect the theme of being an outsider. We will ask, what is an outsider, and what are the problems an outsider faces? We will also try to deconstruct the comments in which the author makes concerning the role of the outsider in society.
