The Theme of Pride in Oedipus the King by Sophocles
This paper will examine the nature of Pride in the play Oedipus Rex by Sophocles. By asserting the theme of pride in this analysis, we can see how Oedipus becomes enraged at Teiresias, as he learns that it was his actions that killed his father. In this manner, we can show how Pride drove oedipus insane because he could not control his pride in the story.
