The aim of this paper is to examine the evolution of jazz music in Paris in 1920’s, in a period when Modernism developed in Europe. The paper considers in detail such questions as penetration of jazz trend in Paris, the trend that came from the United States of America, its development and the forms of jazz that existed in France between two World Wars.
