Chief Geronimo was known for fierce fighting and a strong resistance to white oppression. He fought bravely, frequently sustaining many injuries and watching those that fought by his side die by his side. However, the most well known tribal Chieftain of the Apache Nation was far more than brave opposition to American Colonialism. He was a ruthless savage considered by many Apaches as well as the American government to be more murderer than hero.
