Four Philosophical Views Concerning The Use of Medical Tissues.
The article being used for the purposes of this paper was found in InfoTrac on the debate over the use of medical tissues left over after samples have been taken for purposes other than the direct treatment of the patient's problem. The authors engage in a debate over whether or not it is acceptable for hospitals to use these tissues and samples without further permission from the patient. This issue is explored from a Marxian, Utilitarian, Durkheimian, and Weberian point of view.
