What is free will? “’Free Will’ is largely a philosophical term of art for a particular sort of capacity of rational agents to choose a course of action from among various alternatives.” (O’Connor) It’s an ability to make a decision despite other factors. The question then becomes, in a society full of increasing constraints, does an individual have free will? The answer is a resounding, “Yes!”
