Locke and Kant: The Role of Reason in Understanding the World
In order to illustrate the similarities and differences between the two philosophers, this paper will first examine the position of Locke and how he came to conclude as he did. Then I will move on to discuss Kant’s position and influences. Finally, the paper will attempt a synthesis of sorts, drawing a line of reason that illustrates the common threads in both arguments and points out clearly the differences.
