The Effect of Globalization on everyday life in western capitalist societies.
This paper that will discuss the end of the nation state as we presently know it. Though there is plenty of evidence to support the notion that nationalism is on the rise in many states (witness here Quebec, and the widespread incidence of civil wars in other countries), the paper offers the rebuttal that all states, emerging, new, and old, will be overrun by the process of globalization before long, given its current force. The nation state is simply an outmoded form of political and economic organization that is not capable of dealing with the forces that are prying upon it.
