A Reaction to The Unschooled Mind: How Children Think and How Schools Should Teach by Howard Gardner
This paper will discuss the book The Unschooled Mind: How Children Think and How Schools Should Teach by Howard Gardner. By assessing the possiblities of older theories in child cognition in the educational system, we can see how this forms new ideas into more intutitive practice in interpretating how children think. Gardner clearly show how this helps to produce new ways of illuminating thought through teaching, and how this creates earlier reading levels than previous thought for children.
