Shortcomings in Eriksons Psychosocial Theory of Development
This paper shall discuss Erik Erikson’s theory of development, specifically as it concerns the transition of children to adults. This paper will consider how identity is related to Erikson’s psychosocial theory of development. However, ultimately, the aim of this paper is to point out shortcomings Erikson’s model. In the end, it is an ethnocentric conception of human development.
