An Argument for Insanity in William Shakespeares Hamlet
This paper will seek to define the elements of insanity, which arise when Hamlet learns of his father's death. In this play by William Shakespeare, Hamlet provides a variety of Freudian delusional fantasies, which make Hamlet a role model for the Oedipal and deranged protagonist. By observing his behaviours, we can learn his role in slowly becoming insane, as he cannot control his obsession for revenge toward his mother and friends.
