This paper provides a brief exploration into terrorism and the philosophical response to terrorist organizations. This paper argues that as terrorism is generated from a philosophical background, the means through which it is best fought is through addressing its root cause rather than through aggression. Examples include HAMAS and Israel's response, the U.S. response to Al-Qaida, and the persistance of Taliban philosophy despite the collapse of Taliban government rule.
