The Emirate of Abu Dhabi is about 80,00 square kilometers. It is located on the southeastern part of the Arabian Peninsula and on the southern shore of the Arabian Gulf. It is surrounded by Qatar and Saudi Arabia on the west and southwest, by Oman on the south and east, and by the Emirates of Dubai and Sharjah on the north and east. This is the largest Emirate in all of the United Arab Emirates and it is also the capital of the new country.
