Investigating
Early American Society through Views on Science and Religion.
This paper draws upon the works of Benjamin Franklin, Nathaniel
Hawthorne, and Alexis de Toquerville in order to demonstrate

and rectified the presence of both within society, as well as
how science and religion have impacted society as a whole. This
paper achieves these goals through first presenting a synopsis
of each scholar's theories, then comparing and contrasting the
significance of their views in a discussion format.
